At Travis AI ("Travis", "we", "us"), we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, configure your assistant, or contact support:

• Account data: name, email address, company name, and hashed password.
• Billing data: processed securely via our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
• Knowledge base content: documents, URLs, and text files you upload to train your assistant.
• Conversation logs: messages exchanged between your site visitors and your Travis widget.
• Usage data: message counts, token usage, and API call metadata used for billing and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Travis AI platform.
• To process billing and send receipts.
• To power your knowledge base and generate AI responses (RAG retrieval).
• To send transactional emails (account creation, password reset, billing alerts).
• To monitor for abuse, security incidents, and policy violations.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• AI inference: queries are sent to our self-hosted Ollama inference server at ai.salloq.com. No data is sent to third-party AI providers unless you configure an external model.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, and CDN providers under data processing agreements.
• Payment processors: Stripe (or equivalent) for billing; subject to their own privacy policies.
• Law enforcement: only when legally required.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and conversation logs while your account is active and for 90 days after closure. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us. Knowledge base files are deleted immediately when you remove them from the dashboard.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use session cookies for authentication and minimal analytics (page views, referrers) via a self-hosted analytics tool. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. API keys are stored as hashed values. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We perform regular security reviews.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@travis-ai.net.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notification of material changes. Continued use of Travis after such notice constitutes acceptance.
